SHRM’s Research Department’s mission is to be the go-to source for effective and innovative practices at the intersection of people and work that improve the employee experience and business performance. The department contributes to SHRM’s overarching thought leadership mission to advance the HR profession (and professional) by providing evidence-based insights, recommendations, and innovations at the intersection of people and work.
The Senior Specialist, Strategic Research Initiatives helps achieve SHRM’s recognition as a thought leader in the Human Resources industry by leading large and complex research programs that support the organization’s key strategic initiatives. These strategic initiatives include, but are not limited to certification exams, development of talent analytics tools for the HR profession and other projects. The position works collaboratively and guides teams to develop and execute comprehensive research programs, evaluate deliverables and understand the success metrics of the work. This position actively contributes to charting the research strategy and the core activities associated with future strategic initiatives.
