    The Specialist, Membership Retention Marketing develops and executes the tactical elements of the membership retention marketing plan to retain SHRM members domestically and internationally.
    In collaboration with membership and product marketing teams, the Specialist integrates the member value proposition into all retention campaigns, identifies and executes upon areas to integrate retention into all product campaigns, delivers results against targets while contributing to the growth of the organization.


    Your Day:

    • Execute multi-channel marketing initiatives to achieve member retention targets, conversion rates and enhance member engagement.
    • Identify cross-promotional opportunities in collaboration with other marketing teams and product teams.
    • Track engagement data, campaign results, web traffic; analyze and present findings and/or recommendations to adjust marketing plan and campaigns as needed.
    • Collaborate closely with membership marketing team to design and implement targeted membership marketing initiatives, including but not limited to: join/renew joint promotions, certified non-members, students, young professionals, geographic targets and strategic HR functions.
    • Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure retention plans are successfully carried-out and objectives are achieved.
    • Contribute to the development of presentations and project requirements by gathering and analyzing data. Track budget utilization to ensure compliance with budget management goals.
    • Contribute to the design and execution of the marketing campaign tactics. This includes but is not limited to messaging, collateral production, audience management, print and digital materials, defining mailing schedules, producing1 mailing list segmentation, coordinating print and digital advertising campaigns, contributing to e-mail marketing, and coordinating projects with vendors.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Must Haves:

    • Bachelors degree in Marketing or Communications
    • 3 years of progressive professional experience in Marketing
    • Demonstrated experience in email marketing, collateral development, database segmentation, website analytics, customer relationship management systems, copywriting, proofreading and editing
    • Experience leading and working on cross-functional team projects, managing budgets & projects
    • Excellent presentation, decision-making and problem-solving skills
    • Strong ability to multi-task and adhere to tight deadlines
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, presentation and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
    • Direct mail and email marketing experience
    • Strong technical skills
    • Comprehensive knowledge and hands on experience of Google Analytics and/or email reporting
    • Advanced Microsoft Office software applications skills-MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
    • Ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively and build consensus across teams
