    Human Resources supports the organization by providing the fundamental elements of: employee engagement, world class work environment, talent management, compensation, benefits, and organizational learning and development.

     

    The Senior Specialist, Talent Acquisition works collaboratively with the hiring managers across the organization to execute strategic and creative recruiting strategies to source, recruit, and hire top talent that will support the growth and success of the organization. In this capacity the Senior Specialist partners with hiring managers to offer guidance and to develop the hiring strategy best suited to each position.

    Responsibilities

    Your Day:

    • Recruits for all levels of staff including; full-time, part-time, temporary, contractual, and intern. Updates and tracks recruitment files, prepares and places job advertising across appropriate media, coordinates internal job postings and performs reference and background checks.
    • Manages recruitment life cycle including; source, qualify, and match candidates to defined profiles and specific open requisition across assigned Business Units.

    • Develops a thorough understanding of the profiles for which are being sourced by forming and maintaining a relationship with hiring managers.

    • Ensures compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity mandates and other applicable recommendations, advises and trains management on recruiting processes.

    • Establishes employer brand, contributes to onboarding process, and maintains Talent Acquisition systems.

    • Stays abreast of the current market trends and reports on recruiting metrics.

    • Manages intern program by conducting orientations; scheduling rotations and assignments; monitoring intern job contributions.

    Qualifications

    Must Haves:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
    • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP or ability to obtain within first 12-months of employment.

    • 7 years’ experience in Human Resources, working in a recruiting capacity.

    • Demonstrated experience with server-based applicant tracking systems, social platforms, and tools.

    • Knowledge of employment law and regulations as they pertain to hiring.

    • Solid understanding of behavioral interviewing techniques.

    • Capable of establishing strong and meaningful relationships with others and as a representative of the organization to potential hires.

    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple deadlines.

    • High level of confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive matters.

    • Knowledge of recruiting metrics and an ability to analyze the performance of existing recruiting strategies, tactics, and procedures.

    • Ability to analyze and prepare reports regarding employee and industry related data.

    • Creative problem-solving skills.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Highly organized, flexible, and process-oriented, detail oriented.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and a working knowledge of Human Resources software (Applicant Tracking Systems, Human Resource Information System).

    • Professional demeanor, exceptional people skills. Pleasant telephone presence.
